Biography

Erich Florek started trading stocks, warrants, and futures when he was 17 years old and is today one of Europe“s leading expert on technical day trading.
He graduated from FH Worms (Polytechnic) in 1994 where he obtained a Diploma in International Business Administration, and then joined the Hypobank in Munich to work as a proprietary trader. In 1997 he joined M.T.H.-Midas Trading House, one of the world“s largest futures trading companies on Eurex (total contracts traded by M.T.H. averaged more than 100.000 contracts per day), where he performed a dual role as Head of Technical Trading & Asset Management.
The low-risk-futures funds under his management have realized annual return-to-risk-ratios of 6.5. After setting up a Hedge Fund operation for Galileo Invest in Switzerland, he decided to open up his own company in Hamburg. He currently trades for himself, coaches a team of top traders with performance optimising modules, and consults banks on proprietary trading.
Mr. Florek has presented highly-rated seminars for the International Faculty of Finance in Frankfurt with particular focus on the pitfalls of technical analysis in trading and trading psychology. He is also the author of the book, 'Neue Trading Dimensionen' and has written numerous articles on technical analysis for major financial publications in Europe.
