Biography

Mr Berman is president of Brody Berman Associates, Inc., the leading marketing and consulting firm for intellectual property owners, advisors, investors, and assets.
Over the past fifteen years Mr Berman has implemented marketing, investor relations and public relations programs on behalf of more than 200 clients.
Representative clients include technology-based companies, merger and acquisition candidates, licensing departments and consultants, investment bankers, investment partnerships, owners of branded products, and law firms and practices.
Prior to co-founding Brody/Berman in 1988, Mr Berman served as Vice President - Financial Relations at Ruder & Finn, one of the oldest and largest public relations consultancies. Previously, he was Vice President at Rubenstein, Wolfson & Company (now a part of Shandwick PLC) focusing on professional services and investment banking clients.
Mr Berman has taught communications and media courses at CCNY, Columbia University and Sir George Williams University, and is a member of the plenary and speakers committees of the Licensing Executives Society (L.E.S.).
His articles have appeared in many periodicals, including The Internet Letter, The National Law Journal, The New York Times, BuySide and EuroBusiness.
Media in which he has been quoted on technology and IP-related issues include Buyouts, Reuters, Asset Sales Report, BondWeek, Crain's New York Business, EE Times, The New York Times and PR Week. He is editor and contributing author of Hidden Value: Profiting from the Intellectual Property Economy. His most recent book, From Ideas to Assets, was published in 2002.
Mr Berman is on the editorial advisory boards of Patent Strategy & Management and IAM (Intellectual Asset Management), is co-chair of the financial markets committee of LES.
